A. Company Profile

Immunomedics (NASDAQ:IMMU) is at the forefront of developing and marketing innovative antibody-based products to combat cancer. Based on antibody-fragment technology, diagnostic products provide improved detection of cancer. Therapeutic antibody products in clinical trials are designed to attack cancer with less toxicity to the body than chemotherapy. The therapeutic antibodies, by themselves or conjugated with chemotherapeutic drugs or therapeutic isotopes, are designed to target cancer regardless of the region of the body involved. Together, the aim of these diagnostic and therapeutic products is to provide more comprehensive cancer management.

1.CEA-Scan

CEA-scan (arcitumomab) is a murine monoclonal IgG antibody Fab' fragment that targets tumors that have carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) on their cell membrane. The fragment is labeled with the isotope technetium-99m and images are produced using a gamma camera. CEA-Scan can detect the presence, location and extent of metastasis or recurrence of colorectal cancer.

2. CEA-cide

CEA-cide (labetuzumab) is the therapeutic counterpart, also involving a specific antibody against CEA, but in this case the antibody has been humanized, a process that depletes by about 90% all murine components in the antibody by replacement with human immunoglobulin, or antibody, structures. This antibody is in clinical studies as a naked (unlabeled) and a radiolabeled conjugate, for the therapy of diverse cancers expressing CEA, including colorectal, pancreatic and breast cancers. The therapeutic use of CEA-cide may create a market interest in the use of CEA-Scan for improved patient management, such as earlier staging of cancer and earlier identification of residual disease following therapy.

3. Epratumab

Epratumab is a humanized antibody and is being studied clinically both as a naked (unlabeled) and a radiolabeled (yttrium-90 or 90Y) form. The unlabeled epratuzumab is now entering Phase III trials for the therapy of NHL, while the 90Y-version is in Phase I trials.

4. Milatuzumab

Milatuzumab is a naked humanized antibody targeting CD74 expressing tumors. Milatuzumab-dox is a doxorubicin conjugated humanized antibody targeting CD74 expressing tumors.

5. Veltuzumab

Veltuumab is an humanized antibody targeting CD20 receptors on B-lymphocytes.

6. Y-90 hPAM4

Y-90 hPAM4 is an Yttrium-90-labeled humanized antibody targeting MUC1 expressing tumors.
