Phase I

1. GMK Vaccine

GMK vaccine is designed to stimulate a patient's immune system to produce antibodies to control or eradicate residual cancer cells after the tumor has been surgically resected. Recurrent malignant melanoma is often fatal. GMK incorporates an immune stimulant or adjuvant and the GM2 ganglioside, a cancer antigen present in approximately 95% of melanoma cells.

2. Methylnaltrexone

Methylnaltrexone (MNTX) is a novel derivative of naltrexone, by attaching a methyl group to the compound. This modification created a molecule that has a reduced ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and thus to block opioid side effects in the peripheral tissues of the body without interfering with ability of opioids to relieve pain via the central nervous system. The drug reverses the analgesic effects of morphine, codeine, heroin, and other opioid analgesics.

3. Subunit vaccine

Subunit vaccine is a genetically engineered form of the PSMA protein that is combined with a potent immunological stimulant to induce patients' immune systems to produce antibodies that recognize and destroy prostate cancer cells.
